this is where all our oil money goes. the big guys are are getting bigger. the little guys think it is the West ripping them off. it is really the oil barons stealing the countries wealth.

Very true. They’ve got to fuel 15-25% of the worlds cranes some how.

hey guys…i live in dubai…i was born in dubai…let me tell you…that stuff took around 25 years to develop…the picture with no building was almost 25 years back…the next picture with all the skyscrapers have only been built in the last 8-9 years.

and this is not where the money is..more than half of the population in dubai only earn around USD 500 per month

and dubai has less than 1 % of the oil reserves of the world…which will supposedly get over by 2020…and so dubai is developing its economy so that it can get away from its total reliability on oil.

Hey Punit, thanks for the info. Very interesting. I have heard that they are developing the economy so that the place can continue once the oil is depleted. It would be crazy to live there and see all this going on.
